Porus Olpadwala


Porus Olpadwala is Professor Emeritus of City and Regional Planning, and Dean Emeritus of the College of Architecture, Art and Planning at Cornell University.  After retiring from Cornell he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he holds an appointment as Adjunct Professor in the College of Architecture and Planning of the Univesity of New Mexico.  In the course of his Cornell career Olpadwala also was the Dale R. Corson Professor and Dean of Cornell’s Hans Bethe Residential College and Director of the Andrew. D. White Professors-at-Large Program.

In an earlier career, in the nineteen sixties, Olpadwala was a corporate executive in his native India.  His areas of scholarly interest are comparative political economy, urban and regional economic development, and environmental issues.
